I recently finished the training offered through Child Visit.  It can be a painful endeavor for me to sit in training for 8 hours a day for 3 days but they did an outstanding job of keeping us engaged. If you are considering becoming a Supervised Visitation Provider, Child Visit is an excellent choice They cover everything from how to handle the initial phone call from a parent to how to build your business. Most valuable was the multitude of real case (anonymous) examples of visitations and the best practices for those scenarios. They provided insight into spotting potential red flags on a case, how to ensure unbiased reporting and the adherence to the court order. They also instilled truly helpful insight on how the interplay of child development, family culture, and abuse (substance, physical or sexual) create unusual and often fragile dynamics that require a monitor to be very attentive, compassionate, and firm all at once. Mrs. Dean and Ms. DeHay demonstrated a thorough command of the subject matters that they taught and had a keen ability to inject humor and thought provoking questions to keep us present and learning. Throughout it all they stressed the most important aspect of all, the safety and welfare of the child.

I found my experience with Child Visit's professional supervised visitation training truly remarkable. The trainers are professional, knowledgeable, and deeply passionate about their work. The trainers also have an impressive sense of humor that will keep you in stitches. Thank you for all the love and support given by my classmates and the entire Child Visit staff. I came out feeling stronger and more confident.

I was just trained through Child Visit as a professional supervised visitation monitor. I just want to say it was an amazing three day course that equipped me properly for this new job and was also a very professional and an enjoyable experience. I highly recommend it to anyone who meets the requirements and wants to do this part-time, full-time, or start a business of their own.

"Honey Sanchez (Founder of Child Visit) has been working in the child welfare field for over 20 years.  She has extensive training and experience in identifying safe and protective qualities in parents and families.  She has an encouraging and engaging way with families, which contributes to a supportive partnership in visitation monitoring.  Honey has demonstrated over her many years of working with families that she is fair and understanding.  She establishes clear boundaries and expectations with clients that are child focused.  Having worked with Mrs. Sanchez for many years, I can confidently recommend her as a visitation monitor."
